ACCORDING TO US: THE PODCAST

As though I didn’t already have enough to do in my final term of university, I’ve started a podcast with my good friend Dani! It’s called ‘According to Us’ and is part of Dani’s self-started feminist collective, Girly Gurls, which aims to provide a platform for women creatives looking to get their work out there. In our first episode, now live on Apple Podcasts (and hopefully soon to be on Spotify and most other streaming platforms) we discuss awards season in the run-up to the Oscars, as well as our favourite films of 2018. The link is at the bottom of this post.

While we're on the subject of creative endeavours, it's probably worth mentioning that I was also part of a collaborative project with the National Trust recently. Our group, made up of myself and four other students from the university, curated a five-piece fiction anthology inspired by Cotehele, a Tudor property near Saltash. We called the project 'Cotehele Connections', each of us writing a piece about the house or gardens, covering multiple time periods and introducing an array of characters both real and imagined. We then recorded our stories and transferred them into CD format. A limited number of copies are currently available onsite, for free, in the second-hand bookshop. PDF transcripts of our work will also be available online via the Cotehele page on the National Trust website in the next few weeks. If you happen to be down this way- check out the display, and perhaps even take one of our little anthologies home with you!

And, as always, you can keep up with me on Falwriting (https://falwriting.com/ ), where I work as a content writer and creative editor. Search for my name and the articles shall appear!
